Nina Ricci Spring 2014

Besides the dramatic Femen activists that broke onto the runway,

this collection was very elegant. I loved the simple, minimalist pieces. It is very pretty. My most favourite elements that Peter Copping has included in this range, is the chiffon ruffles and florals and the watercolour tones. This collection follows this years trend of below the knee dresses, however with a history of such elegance and grace this could only be expected.

Ralph Lauren Spring 2014

Ralph Lauren was so different to the other spring collections in New York and I really loved it. The dresses were shorter and the fluorescent colours used this year were so lovely. This collection steered away from the below knee dress lengths and cut the hemlines short. The thing I love most about this collection however was the 60s vibe it gave. Also, I adored the high neck lines the dresses had and the sleeve lengths. All the little elements of the dresses were perfect, yet really simple. The sunglasses gave a nice touch too. I really wish I was there to see this show.

Alexander Wang ss14

So last year, I thought that Wangs spring collection could not get any better. I honestly thought he had hit a plateau for now, but once again, Alexander proves me wrong.

This years collection is wow. It was immaculate.

When I came across the runway photos I thought I was looking at a nineties show. The pastel coloured street wear was so fun, I wish I was there in New York to see it first.

My two favourite items in the collection are;
1. This baby doll dress is gorgeous. I love that the spaghetti straps are in and I love the frills. Frills are always lovely.

2. The crop top is gorgeous. I am not over it yet, and most likely wont be over it until next collection. Its simple and wonderful.

Now I really can't wait until the Balenciaga show.
